COST CONTROL AND CONFIDENTIALITY
Centacare NENW had been engaged with Inland Technology for a number of years and were keen to increase confidentiality of printed documents.
IT Manager, Alex Byrnes says “documents were often left unattended for some period of time before being collected by staff.”
This posed a business risk to the organisation due to higher risk of a breach of client confidentiality.. Centacare NENW were also looking at cost-centre reporting and how they could manage print cost and volumes.
SECURE PRINTING ON A PLAN
To support Centacare NENW in maintaining the confidentiality of their printed documents Inland Technology introduced a print management system across their copiers called Uniflow. This software enables Centacare NENW to have secure printing for all their documents across all locations for all of their users. Every staff member was provided with a swipe card, or used their existing key fob, to release prints as well as for scanning documents, which was very important for the handling of sensitive information.
Centacare NENW was moved onto the One Print Plan (OPP) as part of their upgrade to assist with managing printing costs and volumes.
Alex says “we can see print utilisation per program, helping with internal billing. We’re not locked into any costs and there’s better flexibility so if we scale up or down then the cost goes along with that.”
The One Print Plan provides the same monthly billing each month, regardless of the ups and downs of monthly print volumes which is excellent for managing the cash flow of the organisation.
SERVICE AND SUPPORT
Since upgrading their systems at Centacare NENW,
Alex says “printing is never a problem now. The systems are very user friendly and the staff are all familiar with them allowing them to do their job and keep servicing clients which is most important.”
Alex says the “local technicians are very knowledgeable” and “everything just works great”. Centacare NENW likes to support locals wherever possible and are grateful they can have such great service and support in their printing from a local business.
