Pre pandemic, the focus was largely on investing in the major cities around the country. Now, after countless lockdowns and enormous economic impacts, the viability of investing in the regions is becoming more and more obvious to those who have never thought about life outside of the metropolitan areas.
Our regions are now more dynamic than ever, supported by quality infrastructure that is only set to improve, a diverse industry and numerous growth opportunities.
Our home of Tamworth is one of the largest regional centres in NSW, but our Central NSW location, Dubbo continues to show strength. Dubbo is strategically located in the centre of the state, easily accessible by air, road and rail, particularly with the commencement of the Inland Rail project. Dubbo’s economic success remains a result of the diversity of industries that operate in and around the region, serving approximately a third of NSW. Key sectors include construction, public administration, education & training, health care & social assistance and manufacturing. These sectors have high employment and contribute significantly to our export market.
Expansion and investment in business in Dubbo and other regional areas is a reality for many investors and business owners due to affordable land and overheads, a skilled workforce and more favourable quality of life. Doing business in the regions is cost effective and increasingly attractive to not only startups and sole traders but also multinationals operating within Australia. Furthermore, with the rise of remote working and the idea that you can work from anywhere no matter who you work for, the availability of skills is increasing if you can offer an attractive opportunity.

Inland Technology is committed to making it right for our regions and contributing to regional economies and regional business.
