The future of business is not only different in the sense of the economy and the environment, but a change in leadership. Organisational success is largely determined by the effectiveness of leadership and with each generation owning their own leadership style, the leadership approach is starting to shift. Our promise to make it right for Regional business involves supporting future leaders of business in the areas we service.
The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, affectionately known as RYLA, is an intensive leadership experience organised by Rotary with the aim of developing leadership skills in a fun and connective way for our future leaders. Over the years, Inland Technology have sent the majority of our younger staff to RYLA, sponsoring them through the program. In years where we don't have an employee under the age of 27, we actively look for young people within the community who may benefit from the RYLA program, sponsoring them to support their growth as future leaders within our community.
RYLA aims to demonstrate Rotary’s consideration of our youth, provide valuable training experience, encourage leadership within the youth and publicly recognise key contributors to the community. Throughout the duration of the program, key topics covered include the fundamentals and ethics of leadership, importance of communication, problem solving and conflict management, as well as covering Rotary’s purpose and building participants' self confidence.
In 2021, Inland Technology chose to sponsor Kate Bolte on the RYLA experience. Kate is a former National swimmer who is now head swim coach of 360 Scully Swim Club. She was previously the assistant coach at Tamworth City Swim Club before moving into the head coach role at 360 Scully. Kate is passionate about giving back to the younger generation and is committed to remaining involved in the sport she loves, swimming.
Inland Technology sponsored Kate via Tamworth First Light Rotary Club to attend RYLA to help her develop her life goals and grow her communication skills which will help Kate grow as a person and continue to be a great contributor to our community.
