WHAT
IS EcoPRINT?
ECOPRINT
A New PRINTER Way of Thinking
We’re saving hundreds of quality machines from landfill. E-waste is a major contributor to landfill, with printer devices making up a significant portion. The waste from packaging of new devices is a further contributor. That’s why we’re on a mission to advocate for repurpose and reutilise existing print devices.
We know print volumes are declining and the demand on devices is less and less. On the other hand, technology has greatly improved, which has extended the lifespan and capabilities of multi-function devices. These two factors work together to create a great business case for EcoPRINT.
WHYEcoPRINT?
-
REDUCE WASTE
By 2030 more than 70 million tonnes of e-waste will be created per year. Printers are a major contributor to e-waste, with most devices going to landfill with many of them having more than 80% of their life left. Further waste is created when the packaging of a new device is discarded. This can be avoided by adopting the use of EcoPRINT devices.
- REDUCE CARBON FOOTPRINT
By choosing an EcoPRINT device, your organisation can reduce it's carbon footprint by saving up to 1500 kg-CO2eq*.
kg-co2eq = Kilogram of carbon dioxide equivalent per kilogram. This the equivalent to the amount of CO2 produced in sourcing new raw materials, manufacturing of the device, packaging, distribution & disposal of the device at the end of its life cycle.
- EXTEND PRINTER LIFE
Technology has improved and with that so has the life of your printer. We see countless devices coming back to us having used less than 20% of their life. Our EcoPRINT devices have their entire life cycle tracked and reported on to ensure they are a viable option for your business.
- EASE OF USE
Don’t put your team through the task of having to learn how to use a new printer. By choosing EcoPRINT extensions, you can recontract your current printer that everyone in the office knows how to use, reducing onboarding time and frustrations.
- REDUCE RELIANCE OFFSHORE
The logistical challenges and supply shortages that have arisen are a significant challenge for businesses. Office equipment has also been affected by these challenges.
